Bismuth (Bi 83)

Bismuth has many special characteristics. It is a metal that belongs to the ‘heavy metals’ family. The characteristics of heavy metals are that they are metals with a high atomic mass. Usually, heavy metals are toxic and harmful to organisms, but bismuth is an exception to this rule. It is even widely used in cosmetics and in food supplements.
